Dear Colleagues and Dear Residents who are the future of our profession,


The point we have come so far internationally in the field of microsurgery and hand surgery and our advances that we perform in the international area honor us and give us great hope for the future of our profession. With this gained momentum, we have profound belief in the good work yet to be done. With this purpose we have set fourth together as the Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery and the Society for Urgent Hand Surgery. We are going to organize the Congresses of these two dedicated societies in Bodrum, Hilton Türkbükü Hotel between September 24 – 27, 2020.


Thanks to your contribution, we have started our work early to prepare a satisfying and rich scientific program. We have planned various conferences, panels, video sessions and experience exchange classes at which both experienced fellow academicians and up-and-coming young colleagues will take part. Apart from the conventional sessions, we have enriched the program with case-discussions and complication sessions which we believe will contribute a lot to our surgical practice. In addition to these, we will make sure that the poster sessions will get the attention they deserve by being followed by a greater audience. While our Turkish colleagues will share their vast experience with us, many international speakers will also contribute to the program. The prior target audience of the Scientific Meetings we organize is our young colleagues. Thus, our residents will be able to receive complimentary participation.


At the best time of the year, in Bodrum, besides the scientific exchanges, with the help of the delightful social program, we will be able to a short break from the stressful atmosphere we experience in our field of Microsurgery.

We invite all our colleagues to Bodrum between September 24 – 27 for a high level and satisfying congress in all terms.

Our Society organized “International Occupational Accidents, Hand Injuries and Amputation Congress” on

26 – 27 April 2019 at Swissotel, Istanbul.

The Emergency Hand Care and Microsurgery Society has organized the “International Congress of Occupational Accidents, Hand Injuries and Extremity Amputations” with the contributions of TISK Microsurgery and Reconstruction Foundation.  The Congress has been held on

26 - 27 April 2019 at Swissotel / Istanbul.


Thirteen International Faculty (Alexandru Georgescu,  Arnold Schuurman, Bruno Battiston, Esther Vögelin, Grey Giddins, Kağan Özer, Lars Dahlin, Massimo Ceruso, Pierluigi Tos, Rado Zic, Ton A.R. Schreuders, Tuna Özyürekoğlu, Zsolt Szabo) shared their valuable experience in 8 conferences.  Seventy two free papers were presented and a round table meeting was organized for SPY applications. A total of 250 practitioners and physiotherapists attended the International Congress.

ESPRAS (The European Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery),  endorses the International Congress on Occupational Accidents, Hand Injuries and Amputations.




Louis, Dean 5/17/1936 - 6/16/2019 Ann Arbor Dr. Dean S Louis, age 83, of Ann Arbor, Michigan passed away peacefully on June 16, 2019 at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor where he worked as an orthopedic surgeon and educator for 44 years. Dean Sherwood Louis was born in Dayton, Ohio and attended Shaw High School in Cleveland. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire. Dean received his M.D. from the University of Vermont, and completed his internship at Maine Medical Center.  Continue >


The "12th Triennial Congress of the International Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand Surgery” which is organised once in three years was held on 4-8 March 2013 at New Delhi, India. On 4 March 2013, during the awards ceremony, the prestige award of the Federation “IFSSH Pioneers of Hand Surgery”, Award was given to our teacher Prof.Dr. Ayan Gülgönen.

The 25th anniversary of the Turkish Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery was celebrated. TURKISH SOCIETY FOR RECONSTRUCTICE MICROSURGERY: From Foundation to Present.

Our member Prof. Dr. Kagan OZER has been rewarded by the American Society for Surgery of The Hand (ASSH) with Andrew J. Weiland Research Prize of 2019.
